Pan Deng
Contemporary painter, born in Nanjing in 1964. Vice chairman of the Yang Jianhou Foundation. Lives and works in Sacramento, California.
Pan Deng works in oil painting and installation. He regards art as a personal manifestation of the inner world, and has pursued new possibilities beyond easel painting, including installations of tree branches with calligraphic form. His work has been shown in China and the United States, among them the solo exhibition From Songzhuang to Silicon Valley at the Silicon Valley Asian Art Center in 2023. In 2015 he founded Bayshore Art Studio in California. He is a member of Arts Mid-Hudson. Works are held in public and private collections in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia.
