Foundation
Mission
The Yang Jianhou Foundation was established to promote knowledge and understanding of the artistic legacy of Yang Jianhou (1910–1993), including the diversity of techniques, mediums, and subject matter the artist explored.
In furtherance of this mission, the foundation’s objectives include preserving in excellent condition those works by Yang Jianhou that are owned by the foundation; serving as a resource for reliable and comprehensive information about the artist’s life and work; supporting the advancement of education and science; supporting community building and relief to the underprivileged; supporting universities, schools, libraries, churches, and other places of general public benefit; and providing support to combat environmental deterioration.
Archive
The Yang Jianhou Foundation holds paintings, drawings, calligraphy, photographs, documents, and family papers related to the artist.
The contents of the archive are still being processed. As a result, they are not yet generally accessible to researchers. The foundation may, on a case by case basis, respond to questions or make selected materials available to scholars, curators, conservators, and researchers.
